The Philippines. 7000 islands. I, the sand, the ocean, a beach hut, a lover, and a coconut; I couldn't ask for better :)
It was after a hectic but surely interesting two weeks in Manila and one of its countryside town, Alaminos, that we set off towards a little piece of paradise. Pandan Island Resort was everything Rene and I were looking for: peace of mind, tranquility and stunning setting (and cheap rates off course!). It did not feel at all like a resort, with its environmentally conscious settings (salt water showers and limited electricity access, aka no fans at night!). Our tika and bamboo beach hut was literally 20 foot steps from the water. Our days were mainly spent enjoying coffee and shakes on our charming balcony, going for long snorkeling swims, taking walks on the beach, reading, and eating. Our biggest decisions were whether or not 1:00 was too early for a drink or whether we should read in the hammocks on our balcony or the ones on the beach... As I said, life could not have been better.
Patience... summer is coming soon for most of you hehe ;)
